Thomas Coggins brings one of the most distinctive career journeys on the PBADD board, running from the U.S. Navy to law enforcement to the oil fields of the Permian Basin. Originally from Flint, Michigan, Thomas served a decade in the U.S. Navy as a Propulsion Engineer and later Military Policeman, receiving training at the U.S. Navy Propulsion Engineering Systems Schools, the U.S. Air Force Security Police Academy, and the U.S. Army Military Police School at Fort McClellan. After his military service, he spent nearly twenty years in law enforcement, first as a Patrolman with the Sinton Police Department and then as a Deputy Sheriff, SWAT Operator, Field Training Officer, and Honor Guard member with the San Patricio County Sheriff's Office. In 2006 he made the transition into oil and gas, joining Schlumberger as a Sales Engineer and Account Manager, a role he held for eleven years, building deep expertise in technical sales and operator relationships. Since then, he has held account management and technical sales roles at Cathedral Energy Services, Newsco International Energy Services, Dixon Directional, and Shield Pressure Control, and currently works with ADS Services LLC in Midland, Texas, a premier provider of Managed Pressure Drilling equipment and well control solutions specializing in Constant Bottom-Hole Pressure techniques, Rotating Control Devices, and automated pressure control systems for challenging reservoirs. The precision and discipline that defined Thomas's military and law enforcement years carry directly into his work at PBADD, where he serves as Secretary and ensures the board operates with the same rigor and accountability he's practiced throughout his career. He is married and calls Midland, Texas home.
