Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Permian Basin Association of Directional Drilling (“PBADD”, “we”) collects about members and visitors, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the PBADD website and the PBADD mobile app.

What we collect

We hold the information needed to run a membership association:

• Membership details — name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and any biography or photo you choose to add.
• Account information — your email address and a password, used to sign you in. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; we cannot read them.
• Financial records — invoices, payment status, and dates. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our systems.
• Event activity — registrations, tickets, and check-ins for events you attend.
• Sign-in security records — the email address and IP address used for sign-in attempts, kept to prevent abuse of the login.

We do not collect location data, contacts, health data, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

How we use it

• To provide and administer your membership, including renewals and receipts.
• To run events and issue tickets.
• To send association communications, such as renewal notices and event announcements.
• To operate the member directory, if you are listed in it.
• To keep the service secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

The member directory

The directory lists members so they can find one another. It shows your name, company, job title, biography, photo, email address and phone number.

• It is never public. Only signed-in Premium members and association staff can view it.
• Listing is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time from your profile in the app or on the website. Turning it off removes you immediately.

Who else processes your information

We use a small number of service providers to operate PBADD. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Supabase — database and sign-in.
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles card details directly; we never receive or store them.
• Resend — sending email.
• Vercel — website and application hosting.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the PBADD app, under Account, or by contacting the association office. We want you to know exactly what that does, because it does not erase everything:

If you would like the retained record removed as well, contact the association office and we will tell you what we are able to delete.

Your choices

• Correct your details — edit them yourself under Account in the app, or on the website.
• Leave the directory — turn off directory listing in your profile.
• Stop emails — use the unsubscribe link in any association email, or delete your account.
• Ask us anything — request a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or remove it.

Children

PBADD membership is for working professionals. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced to members by email.
